Great to use when you need to roll out a piece quickly and don't want to use your clay machine. 
Great to take to workshops or meetings when you don't want to lug around your pasta machine.

Clay left on the pin may get embedded in the wood over time.

Use a release agent before using with polymer clay or cover your clay with parchment paper or candy paper to help keep the clay from embedding in the wood.  Clean your roller with mild soap and water after use.
