Creating a perfect dot pattern is made easy with this tool. It allows you to punch out 49 evenly spaced holes in a sheet of clay. Additionally, it's suitable for Mokume Gane techniques and can also be used as a pattern stamp.
The tool is 3.5" x 3.5". The holes are approximately .22" (slightly less than 1/4") Check back. A tool with smaller sized holes will be available shortly. There will also be a square hole version coming soon.
Basic Instructions:
Roll a sheet of clay. If it is too thick the cutter can be used as a stamp. If it is thinner, you can cut all the way through. Experiment with the settings of your clay roller. If you want to remove the circles, use your clay blade to pick up the sheet. Hold the sheet in your hand and push the circles out. If you are concerned about distortion, you can use a needle tool to pick out the circles, but the edges won't be quite as clean. It's easy to clean them up. I'll be posting a short video showing my technique as soon as possible.
