PCP Clay Cane Slicer and Markers

The slicing tool makes it easy to cut even slices. By pressing the marker along a cane or roll of clay, you impress marks into the clay and give yourself a guide for cutting equal slices from the cane.

There are 10 different size markers available! The Slicing tool has slots for round or square canes.  You can use rectangle and hexagonal shapes too.

Here are brief instructions:

• Allow your cane to "rest" to let it stiffen. You may even place it in the refrigerator briefly. 
• Select the most suitable size and shape tray on the cane slicer. Position your cane in the tray, allowing the end to extend over the edge by the desired thickness of the slice.
• Use a sharp blade. It's easier for some to look from directly above the cane.
• Grip the blade in such a way that it glides along the slicer. This technique will maintain the blade's alignment and ensure a uniform slice thickness.
• After you make each slice, rotate the cane a quarter turn. This will help keep the cane in shape.
