Please note: In order to get the most "see-through" effect, you have to make the clay very thin.  Transparent Translucent is the only color above that looks as close to transparent as possible.  Here is the definition comparison of Translucent vs. Transparent:

Glass, for example, is transparent to all visible light. Translucent objects allow some light to travel through them. Materials like frosted glass and some plastics are called translucent. When light strikes translucent materials, only some of the light passes through them.

Ginger Davis Allman - The Blue Bottle Tree - did extensive comparison testing with the different brands of translucent clays. Click to read her findings here and here.

Pardo Translucent is claimed by many artists to be the strongest and clearest, whitest translucent available.

"It’s easy to assume that your clay has been partially cured or is old. But hold on! There is a trick to it. Pardo is not like other brands of polymer clay. Here’s how to condition Pardo Translucent Art Clay."

If you have questions about conditioning Pardo, click Videos and take a look at the short video.  Please don't assume it is bad clay!

"Plaquing, also known as mooning, is a pattern of little pockets of air that develop inside of some brands of polymer clay as it cures."

Watch this video to see how to reduce "plaquing" or "mooning" with Pardo Translucent

    Pardo Translucent

Posted by Val Daniels on Oct 5th 2017

Love, love this clay! I started by trying to make very thin translucent fairy wings and mini dragon wings. The clays thinness and strength are something I've been looking for , for my miniatures. I even made some mini wings on a necklace - which I am testing for strength and durability with wearing, so far so good! Pardo is a dream come true for my mini's!
