Please note: In order to get the most "see-through" effect, you have to make the clay very thin.  Transparent Translucent is the only color above that looks as close to transparent as possible.  Here is the definition comparison of Translucent vs. Transparent:

Glass, for example, is transparent to all visible light. Translucent objects allow some light to travel through them. Materials like frosted glass and some plastics are called translucent. When light strikes translucent materials, only some of the light passes through them.

Ginger Davis Allman - The Blue Bottle Tree - did extensive comparison testing with the different brands of translucent clays. Click to read her findings here and here.

Pardo Translucent is claimed by many artists to be the strongest and clearest, whitest translucent available.

"It’s easy to assume that your clay has been partially cured or is old. But hold on! There is a trick to it. Pardo is not like other brands of polymer clay. Here’s how to condition Pardo Translucent Art Clay."

If you have questions about conditioning Pardo, click Videos and take a look at the short video.  Please don't assume it is bad clay!

"Plaquing, also known as mooning, is a pattern of little pockets of air that develop inside of some brands of polymer clay as it cures."

Pardo Translucent Art Clay

I had always bought Premo clay but learned about Pardo recently. This clay is really nice to work with and is actually more translucent than Premo. Would recommend this to my friends.

Pardo translucent

I don't know what the problem is that people fuss about this clay being hard to work with.I had no problem conditioning it. Of course, the weather being hotter than a you know what has helped a lot with working with it. I have some pieces ready to pop in the oven, just waiting for it to cool off a little.

Hard to condition

Very clear and no yellowing. I had a hard time conditioning it. It was a bit crumbly. It doesn't have the stretch that regular Premo has. I'm new with this so didnt know what to expect. I love the baked results. I think I just need more practice. Will buy again.
